So at work, Tempe Trophy, we were doing some expensive awards for a customer and we tried to use silver rub n buff to color the text after we had sandblasted it. Well, the rub n buff was smearing everywhere and my awsome boss, Cliff was getting irritated with it. So we had to come up with another way to get it silver. Out comes the silver gel pens. Yup, I personally colored each letter with a gel pen. Sometimes, you have to get creative to make things work. (I photoshopped the name of the company and the receipient out so no one can say anything.) This plate costs about $230.00. Ridiculous if you ask me but I didn't pay it so I don't care. This is such a fun job! We get to be creative and have fun at the same time. I love when a customer lets us design an award for them. Especially when money is no object to them.
