Party Hardy!

Last nite, Friday, Tamra and I went to a 30+ party. Now I didn't think that the 30+ crowd could have fun like the 20-29 yr olds. I was very wrong! It was so much fun! There were so many people there and while I don't really know how to dance to 80's rock and Techno, I still had fun. The last hour or so they did start to play hip hop, and I can dance to that. I haven't been dancing since last April and I love to dance. I paid for it this morning when I got up, my knees and ankles hurt so bad, I felt like I had been hit by a Mack truck. I can't wait to do it again tho!!!

My Friday Nite Fun

I decided to put some pics up of when I was younger cuz I'm kinda bored right now....

I just thought this kinda looked like Liahona when she gets excited.
I just like this one...

AND THIS ONE!!!!....
Why didn't anyone love me enough to say,
"Norma, put down the Aquanet!"

I did my hair like this probably every day for a REALLY long time and nothing was said to me. My mom called it "Taco Head" and I've heard my sisters say something about being able to fly.

Good Times, Good Times!

2 months

So it was 2 months ago that I gave birth to a beautiful little boy. 6 weeks has gone by since I placed him in the arms of his mom and dad. He is so loved by so many and I am so very happy for him. I saw him tonite and he is such a big boy! He's smiling more and has found that he can "talk". My sister Gina, her husband Dustin and their little boy Drew were able to come with me and see him. They hadn't seen him since I placed him on Feb. 2nd, so he definately looks different to them. I can't thank Steve and Angie, and their families, for all they have done. Thank you for making this whole situation a wonderful experience for me and my family. I love you so much!

Thoughts of Ora

My grandma would be 94 tomorrow, March 11th. I remember when she died and how my heart physically hurt for a bit. She had such a wonderful spirit! Here are some of the wonderful things I remember about my grandma:
  • Froggie in the middle can't get out, take a little stick and stir him all about. (I remember her holding us as little children and singing this to us.)
  • BIG and Gaudy or tiny and delicate (this is how she liked her jewelry
  • "What happened to your hair!?" (anytime we colored our hair)
  • "You look like a big red cardinal!" (I was wearing a red sweat suit)
  • Tea Rose Parfume
  • Helping anyone in need

If you remember anything wonderful about my grandma, leave a comment. I love to hear stories about her.

1 for me and 1 for you

So... Angie has this fun post on her blog that I am posting here. It's kind of a game for us "blogger" types. Here's how it works: the first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by me personally. What I make is my choice, but it will be made JUST FOR YOU! My choice. For you. However, like all things that sound too good to be true :), this offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- There is no guarantee that you will like what I make!

2- What I create will be just for you personally.

3- It will be completed sometime this year. :)

4- You will receive no clues as to what it's going to be.

I'll let you post a request of some sort with your comment, but still... it could be anything!5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange if I so desire... it may blow your mind! Or it may not. It may be very simple and predictable... but hopefully you will benefit from it!And like most things that sound too good to be true, there is a catch. You must re-post this on your blog and offer the same deal to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. Not too bad, huh? In fact, I think it'll be a lot of fun!!So-- on your mark, get set, GO! The first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they posted this on their blog and want to win a free, FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift from me will receive just that!!!

**Remember: You have to tell me in your post that you've posted this on your blog before you can be guaranteed one of the five slots!

** Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Fun, fun!!

La Calabria Ristorante

My cousin Ashley told us about this place so my sister Gina and I decided to go on a "date". It is hidden back in a strip mall/plaza on the northwest corner of Ray and Val Vista. It is a wonderful place. Not many people know about it because it is hidden. The food is EXCELLENT and for the portion, the price is reasonable. I got the (cheese) Tortellini Panna & Prosciutto in a creamy sauce, and she got the Spinach and Cheese Ravioli. These dishes were awsome! They also give you bread with the seasoned olive oil and salads come with the pasta dishes. The chef is from Italy and comes out to speak to you while you are eating. ( He didn't do that to us, but we were kinda glad he didn't.) I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new place to eat.

*****I give it 5 Stars!!
