Throughout the last couple of weeks, I have often heard my baby sister Monica humming this song. How grateful I am that we have a loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that we can turn to in some of our most darkest times.
I have been carried through the last week and half when I needed it the most. I have been able to get through the days and nights knowing that my Father in Heaven and my Big Brother Jesus Christ are right by my side walking with me.
Where Can I turn for peace
Where is my solace when other sources cease to make me whole.
When with a wounded heart, anger, or malice,
I draw myself apart, searching my soul
Where, when my aching grows,
Where when I languish,
Where, in my need to know, where can I run?
Where is the quiet hand to calm my anguish?
Who, who can understand He, only One.
He answers privately, Reaches my reaching,
In my Gethsemane, Savior and Friend
Gentle the peace he finds for my beseeching.
Constant he is and kind
Love without end.

Ah, Norma, I love what you said here! So beautiful!
I don't know you, I am a friend of Jen's and saw your story on her photo blog. I couldn't help but stop in and see the blessing that has just happened on your life. When I read this it touched my heart. My little boy passed away when he was 2. That was 3 years ago. I find myself singing this hymn at least once a week. Still. It's beautiful. Congratulations. I am so happy for you.
I'm a little slow at times. I now see that you are the one who gave your baby not received. What a blessing you are to another family. THe selfless act is remarkable. You are a strong and faithful woman!
